Summer

We are all back in school now and Fall is upon us. This is our 8th year in Worland and have grown to love the small town life. Tim is starting his 8th year of teaching Science at the High School. I am starting my 3rd year of teaching 4th grade and have one more year to go on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading. Nathan (age 13) is in 8th grade and Courtney (age 11) is in 6th...it's hard to believe that we have kids this old. Life is good and we had a great summer. We wanted to share some of what we were able to do over the summer with you.

GeoCaching
In his spare time...well when ever he gets a chance Tim enjoys geocaching. He has even convinced his kids that it is fun.

State 4-H Horse Camp
Courtney attended her third state horse camp. This year her Dad, Grandma Barrus, and Nathan went with her. I think it was a fun time had by all...well, Courtney probably had the most fun. She loves riding her horse all day long.

While Courtney was busy riding her horse, Grandma tried to find some shade while Tim and Nate took naps.

Baseball
We spent a lot of time at the baseball fields this summer. Nate is in his second year of Babe Ruth and loves every minute he gets to play, especially when he is catching. Tim had a great time also, but he is not sure he wants to coach another season...Nate thinks he should.

County Fair
You can't forget Fair...This was Courtney 3rd year participating in horse. She placed in every event she entered, expect one. Each year they have to decorate the horse stall. This year they had a bathroom theme. Even though it was hot, she had a great time.

SURGERY
Nate had knee surgery about four weeks before school started. He has always been a little knocked kneed, but we noticed that it was getting worse. In order to correct the problem the doctor used a figure 8 metal bar and screwed the inside growth plate of both knees shut. As he grows his knees will straighten out. However, it was a miserable couple of weeks!

Fourth of July
We spent the Fourth of July in Cody at my parent's house. We went horseback riding and four-wheeling up Carter Mountain. Marcie and Stacy's family came too. Later that day we had a barbecue and shot off fireworks. Darin's family came out for the evening festivities.

The rest of the family watching all of the action!

Scout Camp
Tim is the Young Men's President in our ward and he got to go to Scout Camp this year. Nate was able to go, but only after the doctor had taken out his stitches. While Nate was at Scout Camp he went rock climbing, worked on merit badges, played at the lake, and hung out by the camp fire. There was a moose that decided to hang out by camp, also.

We had a great summer and we hope you all did too!
